Vintage Gibson 1962 ES-330TD (330TDC) Cherry Red - AMAZING INSTRUMENT
Incredible playing and sounding 1962 Gibson ES 330 TDC. The cherry red looks incredible – has the vintage patina and playability we all crave on the 1 11/16” early 60’s Gibson guitars (neck at 1st fert is .81 and at 12th .86.
The guitar has been played at lot so it looks and feels like it. It is in ~ 7.5 to 8 condition for 62 year old instrument.
Asking a very reasonable price for this desirable Gibson es330tdc hollowbody…. as I just refactored my pricing due to the following –
I believe everything is original to the guitar (early to mid year '62 build based upon the black hardware, neck join location to body and the serial number) including the hard case with one exception the faceplate is an obvious swap out and to accomplish a bit of overspray is on the the back of the headstock. I have thought of having a shop replace it with a holly faceplate…but I will leave that up to you.
Critically, I am not 100% sure if there was a classic headstock break or anything - I honetly cannot tell look at it from 1" away. But after looking at up close pics in black light there may have been or it might be a bad finish touch up. SEE multiple pictures addressing this. Click to supersize them and carefully examine them. In hand, the back of the headstock where it meets the neck looks unmolested and the finish looks original. I dropped the price significantly because I can't tell either way.
The guitar is lightweight and yet it is balanced. No weird issues. Everything works. Frets in decent shape.
